to name the 3 I occationall visit
Food co-ops
Leeds uni
Eat the rich, Harehills
(and probably many others I haven't heard of in Leeds alone)
Housing co-ops run using consensus decision making. Where everyone living there has to help out running the place:

Workers co-ops exist too :-)
Band practice space:

From there we can bring people into a better way of life. Without alternative ways of living many people are losing their potential. If the anti-war movement hadn't of protested, many people who are against the war wouldn't have had a chance to show it - they would have just been sat at home doing nothing. Coz it's hard to do stuff on your own. By the same logic, how many people want to go to social centre's which are free and all you do is what you want, how many people want to live in cheap shared accomdation with like minded people, how many people want to eat and clothe morally, HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT TO WORK IN AN ANARCHIST ENVIRONMENT PRODUCING THINGS ACTUALLY VALUABLE TO THE COMMUNITY, how many people want to be in a band or just involved in music but don't have the equipment or a place to practice. People want these things but don't have the chance to put their skills into action, their resources and ideas together. In my eyes if the anarchist movement had these things on offer to people, it would sweep across the country in no time.
